Vodacom will not release ONT fiber line.

I cancelled my fiber line with my Vodacom ISP when i moved out more than a month ago. They stopped charging the monthly fee and i thought all was well.

Two weeks ago the new tenants contacted me saying they could not get the fiber up and running with their own ISP because Vodacom did not release the ONT line.

When i phoned Vodacom they told me to phone Metrofibre (infrastructure). Metrofibre told me to phone Vodacom. It turns out you have to ASK Vodacom to release the ONT line. They did not tell me this when cancelling and said the line would be released within a few days of cancellation.

After asking to release the line it's been more than a week and NOTHING.

Vodacom is doing one of two things: 1. They are purposefully slowing the releasing of the ONT line to encourage customers to stick with them out of sheer frustration.

2. Vodacom taught it's employees how to answer a phone but not how to send an Email.

Either way gross incompetence which is costing the new tenants money in a pandemic-hit financial state.
