Vodacom will not process my contract cancellation request, but keep telling me that they need to escalate the request where my contract never gets cancelled and I have to keep on paying.
I have been a Vodacom customer for over decades. I actually currently have around 4 contracts with Vodacom. I have a contract which I wanted to stop. The contract was planned to be stopped at the end of this month. I spoke to two different consultants "Ngob" and "Ntshb" who confirmed that my specific contract would be cancelled at the end of March as they have raised escalations for my contracts to be cancelled at the end of March.
I later spoke to one other consultant "Bathabile" to confirm the cancellation and she informed me that my contract could not be cancelled at the end of March and no escalations were required to be raised by the other two previous consultants. What they needed to do was to simply cancel my specific contract.
I feel like Vodacom has a lengthy process which only they can do to cancel customer contracts but because they want their customers to keep paying, they never actually implement cancellation requests so customers will keep paying.
I have rightfully finished paying for contract, and would simply like to stop the deductions because I will now not see what I am paying for. It was so simple taking this contract but has proven to be requiring an arm and a leg to cancel it. Why are my cancellation requests never simply processed but always escalated. The consultants always tell me that the requests need to be escalated and cannot be cancelled until the last one who informed me that all that was needed to be done was to cancel the contract.
