Vodacom will not pay my money back (R73856.56)
On 30th May 2015 somebody without my authorization has done a sim card swap on my Vodacom cellphone nr. via a Vodacom call centre and withdrew (R73856.56) out of my account. I reported it at Vodacom, but they say they are not liable for it. According to them they cannot take responsibility because it happen all the time although they have created the platform to generate more income for them through the call centre facility. See below my letter to Vodacom.
In the fourth paragraph, you stated that Vodacom introduced multiple ways to do a sim swap and one of them is by way of a call centre. You further said in the fifth paragraph that in this incident the unique username and password of the relevant call centre agent was misused to ********ly manipulate the system to process a sim swap. You admitted that Vodacom created a platform for these incidents that can occur and therefore can be held liable for it. These incidents happens numerous times every day and the consumer is misused by Vodacom to benefit financially. Vodacom can at least pay these customers back their money that they have lost.

Please beware, Vodacom is bad news and try to avoid them!!!
