Vodacom will break a legal contract. Just dont do it yourself.

My Fiance had an arrangement with Vodacom. But due to Covid she had to pay for their meds and could not pay the amount.

They cut her line the afternoon late. The very next day i called and spoke to a Mrs. Magdelien. We made an arrangement that is just as good as a Contract on the phone after speaking over 40min. The arrangement was that I pay R500 to cover the outstanding money she missed to pay, and from there a R200 a month.

Mrs. Magdelien said that will be fine. That she is lifting the bar on the incoming calls but the outgoing calls will take up to 12 hours depending on how busy the system is.

The next day i called back asking why is her phone still blocked. That i have already paid the R500 and that we had an agreement and was told it will be lifted. After another excruciating wait Vodacom tells me "oh sorry the phone number is deleted" you wont be able to use it anymore.

I was promised that a manager will call me 23/07/2021. Yet i am still waiting for this to materialize. I was promised by vodacom that this will be lifted. Not only that but we made an agreement with Vodacom. The very next day. There was no warning sms, email, phone call to ear why the client is unable to pay. Just, BAM!!! number that was in use for years now just deleted.

Vodacom must realize that the people that are using their service is not earning salaries of R750k or R1.3mil a month like the heads at Vodacom. This was published and made public. It is people who is going through a pandemic, with employment failing most of SA.

It would be another thing if we did not try and rectify this. If we left it to be and never called Vodacom. But we called the very next day. Borrowed money to make the arrangement.

Vodacom has not only failed this one time. But previously made a similar error on my own account. After weeks of Emails and threats from their legal team have they realized they made the mistake.

With a number lost now, what else is there to lose regarding an identity that has been created over the years. We will take this with phone records and proof of payments to any social media platform we can. To ask if there is anyone else being bul**** by this Error prone company and have a class action law suit. Vodacom has made an agreement with me on the phone.

Their response to this error is do you want to speak to the agent who promised you the agreement? She made the mistake so talk to her. WHY? Is she an independent contractor working for VODACOM or does she answer the phone saying thank you for calling Vodacom? I rest my case. VODACOM WILL REINSTATE THIS NUMBER TODAY AS EVERYTHING FROM MY SIDE OF THIS AGREEMENT WAS FULLFILLED AND VODACOM HAS NOT KEPT TO THEIR SIDE OF THE DEAL. If we break contract you want to cut the lines and bully us. But if you break contract. Oh sorry speak to this one who promised you this. our manager will call you. Sorry we just do not care because we are not bothered.

Dear Vodacom, It is not my number in question. y number was a ****up as well that Vodacom neglected to stop debiting. Even after we had agreements in place. The result of this, in the time of Hard lockdown and no source of income is an account that kept on growing. That has been sorted out when I emailed your very ****y legal team all correspondence when they said I was at fault. Luckily i had the emails to back this or Vodacom would have bul**** me as well.

Now for my Fiancé line. They made an agreement in January. for 6 months then that term gets re negotiated and stays prepaid. However, it is not normal times we are living in. Her sons, twins, had covid. It cost her a lot of money for medicine and Doctors bills to help them. As well as this, when the line was cut the 22nd of July, there was no warning, phone call or sms saying that she should please call Vodacom if she has a problem.

Yet you revert to the Arrangement made in January to tell her sorry for the times we live in, We are not aware of any circumstances in SA, we are not aware of the rising costs, we are not aware of looting affecting the country, we are not aware of the shortage of jobs, we are not are of an pandemic. Yet you keep quiet and cut the line.

Now the 22nd of July i paid over R500 and made an agreement with Vodacom that this line will be put onto Prepaid at R200. It was agreed upon by both parties, my fiancé was on the call, myself and your representative.

As far as my knowledge goes, An agreement between parties supersedes the previous agreement in place. Thus your deleting of the line was not legal and unfair.

We have borrowed the money so she can get back to her feet. Pay the R500 and arrange a cheaper installment.

Vodacom accounts lady I spoke today is proof that Vodacom bullies people. Saying i am not allowed to speak to her but my fiancé. Knowing that i have more of a legal background than she does she bul**** her into saying that she was aware of this in January. However my question was why they never informed her. So one can make plan.

Vodacom keeps forgetting that this is not just one voice. SA is in turmoil, and there is a lot of people who will testify to the abuse received from Vodacom. That people in this time struggle to make end meat but be sure, the phones they use for work and family will be cut and causing a lot of heartache and embarrassment by employers.

Now a new number needs to be sent to all clients, colleagues, it becomes a mess and even though we tried our best to get this back it was a painful process where Vodacom tells me sorry to hear about you. But if you want to talk to the person who promised you the line we will put you through to them. It was a agreement we made. The conditions was read out to us and it was agreed upon.

So please Vodacom tell me how you take the people of this country for a ride so your fat cats can sit back with a R1mil salary each month while the country is burning.

Large companies should stop taking advantage and start seeing the state of the country. IF not you will fold just like the other.
