VODACOM: where has the basic service standards evaporated to?
I got my first cell phone in high school, which was over 22 years ago, and since then, I have been a loyal Vodacom customer. In December of last year, vodacom *********ly changes my package. What they really did was opt into a package that charges me more for less value (after vodacom decided the package I signed into was no longer valuable to them).
Immediately nothing the increased bill I logged the matter with them, this was done 4 months ago over a call centre chat with a lady by the name of Mpho Mnisi. Despite raising the matter with her, and then following up monthly for another 2 months, I got frustrated and then logged a complaint via the Vodacom Instagram page.
For 2 months, the administrator of the Vodacom page promied to get back to me. Guess how many times I was contacted by vodacom since logging this 2 months ago (after they made daily promises to call me) ? Absolutely ZERO!! To really show how poor their service standards js, and how poorly they value customers, they did not Call me back once in 4 months ! Not once What ever happened to client centricity.
Every single day, I took my precious time to follow up with the social media administrator that is managing the Instagram platform, and all they did was promise a call that never came. There was not even an increase in urgency or empathy when a threatened to pass this onto their CEO.
In a last bid, and attempt, I am hoping this would get there attention. Is this what a loyal customer of 22 years has to do to get service ?
And I am actually doubtful that I will get feedback and my matter addressed.
