Vodacom - where

Hello

We are an non-profit organisation on the south coast of kzn working in rural communities. We have a business account with vodacom and have various SIM card data contracts that we use to communicate with finders, send reports and make sure we continue doing our important work in an unserved community.

This monthly, all our data on these contract was gone but the second week of the month. We find this highly highly unusual given the history of our usage. I have been trying for 10 days to get an answer from vodacom about this weird usage or at least an explanation for this rapid usage of data (was it something we did incorrectly etc) The business department at Vodacom we’re very unhelpful and kept refering me to an email address for supposed “data use” enquires. However the assistance these people have provided has been pathetic to say the least and they have not even responded to my actual questions. Given the amount of money we spend monthly on our contracts you would think that Vodacom, a supposedly reputable company in South Africa, could be able to assist in a reasonable time...10 days and counting is not reasonable.

Anyway, maybe someone has a suggestion about what to do about this or has a contact at Vodafone who can help.

Thanks Daniel from Thanda after-school

Reviewer Update
Hello community and Vodacom I am very pleased to see that Vodacom has decided not to take my concerns seriously and have done very little to add to my questions. I originally posted my complaint on the 18 April (11 days ago) and in that time I have received 1 phonecall from a Vodacom offical who asked for our business account number. He said someone from the business accounts department would phone back but since then, I have not heard anything or any follow up from the hegemoic leviathan that is Vodacom. I am glad (absolutely no sarcasm) to see your business ethics are so unblemished...perhaps you will be competing soon with the likes of Steinhoff and KPMG for more unliked corporates in the country. In the words of Murcutio, "A plague, a plague on (both) your houses". I thank you for living up to your reputation regards, Daniel
