Vodacom .... what went wrong ??????????

I have been struggling to get Vodacom Fibre to sort themselves out since December last year. I requested that my fibre line be relocated on the 18th of November 2020 (through the correct process of submitting the necessary documentation, which was acknowledged by Vodacom). After many phone calls to customer services and being promised that my matter had been escalated to a manager, I was eventually told on the 28th of December 2020 that there is in fact no Vodacom Fibre connectivity at the complex that I moved to. Surely they should have checked on this when I submitted my relocation form on the 14th of November 2020? Would make sense, don't you think. Mean time, I was trying to work from home and paying a fortune for data all while still paying the full amount to Vodacom every month for my fibre, a service I was not receiving.

After all the frustration and poor service, I insisted that my fibre line be cancelled and that I be refunded a pro-rata on the fibre I had paid since I vacated my premises which was the last day I used Vodacom's fibre. After weeks, I was told my fibre line was cancelled, but full amounts were still debited off my account.

I did receive an e-mail to say that my fibre line had been cancelled and that the refund had been paid to my account and would reflect in my account within 24 to 48 hours. This was ages ago. I am still waiting.

After hours on the phone, fighting, talking nicely, begging, pleading, loosing my cool ... all emotions you could think of as well as many, many e-mails I still have not received my refund from Vodacom. I was eventually told to send an e-mail to another e-mail address and explain what exactly had happened! Really? Is there no record on your fancy f****** system Vodacom that you can see all the times that I called and see what the problem is. So all the times I repeated the story, waited while staff in the customer centre typed word for word what the problem was to escalate it to their manager ... you saying there is NO RECORD OF ANY OF THOSE??? Oh my soul! I am so sick of this.

It is purely out of principle that I will not let this go. I will carry on and on until this is sorted out. We have become so complaisant with poor service in this country that we don't have the energy to fight for what is right.. Well, you picked the wrong lady Vodacom!!! I am not letting this go.

I reluctantly and very angrily sent an e-mail to the last e-mail address I was given and have advised that I will proceed with legal action against Vodacom (which will be at their expense - certainly will be a bigger expense that the refund they owe me). I have also committed to write a review on Hello Peter every day until this is sorted out.

So this is day 1 .... let us see if Vodacom can pull their fingers out of you know where and do what they are supposed to !!
