Vodacom what is wrong with your company

I purchased a Vodacom Samsung phone in January 2016 with a 24 month warranty at a sporting shop in George. The screen stopped working and it started giving problems iro charging last week. I took it in to the shop where I purchased it and the very pleasant and helpful person accompanied me to the Vodacom repair shop conveniently across the way in the mall. After waiting for a very long time in a hopelessly understaffed shop another helpful gentleman assisted me and even gave me a replacement phone to use until my phone was repaired. I subsequently received an sms that my phone which cost R1500 will cost R1400 to repair...even though it is basically brand new. When I tried to phone the shop on many occasions since there were no answer and after phoning the Vodacom helpline today I was told their system was 'slow' and they redirected me to a Vodacom shop in Greenpoint Cape Town where the rude woman hung up on me after I had to explain my story! What the * is going on? I am shocked at the atrocious 'customer service'.
