Vodacom what a disaster

Vodacom what a disaster:

What makes companies thrive and grow? I have asked myself this question many times. What makes startup businesses draw crowds. I have seen so many new takeaway food stalls startup and draw crowds with affordable, good quality food, word of mouth spread far and wide, growing the business bigger and bigger to keep up with the demand. More and more people are appointed to address demand. Unfortunately, in so many cases the original recipe for success is watered down literally and figuratively. The taste for profit, the loss of the original drive inevitably ends up in disaster.

I am no expert in business but do have a sound mind and a sense for logic and logical thinking, above all, I am a consumer and a customer that work hard to pay for services that enable me to be as productive as I possibly can with the resources to my disposal.

This brings me to my most recent encounter and ongoing struggle in a world where service and customer relations is taken for granted, where the attitude towards the customer is one where it seems as if the provider is doing the customer a favour to render the service they are played for.

In a time were physical travel and face to face interaction is still a real risk, we rely on our internet service providers to make it possible for us to connect virtually. This does also come at a premium. Considering what is important for me to be productive and able to remain employed I opted to not use the cheapest internet provider, rather spend a bit more and subscribe to the highest privately available fibre connectivity with Vodacom that is by far not the cheapest. This decision turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes I ever made.

Since my subscription to the fibre to home internet services with Vodacom it was just a constant struggle and, on many occasions, plainly an embarrassment. Services being cut constantly, loss of connectivity, shaping of services to the point where on a 100Mb/s connection I cannot even follow demonstrations and presentations. Service interruption, maintenance without warning usually during crucial presentations or in my case where I was presenting on an international symposium. I never felt so embarrassed in my life.

The best of all is the fact that you cannot follow up on a request or a grievance. And no one comes back to you if you get to lodge an issue. This is the same situation when customers grew business by subscribing to a great service, demand grew, and the passion for quality of services degraded as *********** staff being appointed to address the demand. The recipe watered down and the customers that supported and grew the brand is now seen as a burden and not important.

With only a Vodacom fibre account it is impossible to lodge a ticket without phoning the support desk and waiting to talk to a representative. The online help services just do not cater to customers without a Vodacom phone number.

I truly tried sticking out and try to resolve the many issues I have with the horrible service I receive so far from Vodacom. I am taking the time to write this review to enlighten any prospective client disillusioned to think that the Vodacom brand stand for quality or that going for the big boys in the game might ensure good service, pls. go for anything else but Vodacom. The smaller guys are building their businesses and still understand who is contributing to their survival. I would not advise anyone to subscribe to a Vodacom fibre deal you are setting yourself up for misery and high blood pressure.
