Vodacom warranty and apple iphone 7

I have a vodacom 2 year contract, my apple iphone 7 broke on month 10 - unable to get wifi - I took it in and they replaced it with a new brand new apple iphone unit october last year 2017. Now in september the new unit broke - unable to hear - speakers. They quoted me R7000 to repair it and refuse to repair it under warranty as they say the apple warranty is only 1 year - on the firs year of your contract. I disputed this as this is a new apple iphone 7 -11 months old and should still be under apple warranty. Vodacom refuse to help me they escalated it and still refuse to repair under warranty. Could apple also give their input as this is the 3rd apple iphone 7 in one household that did not last longer than 11 months.
