Vodacom / VVM Debt Collection harrassment and inept service

In December my wife's contract with Vodacom ended and we went to our local Vodacom shop to migrate her to prepaid as we did not want another contract. We were informed that the details had been logged on the system and that the changeover would be seamless. The last sms received by us on that contract re the account indicated a balance outstanding of R-19.00 thus indicating that were were in credit on this account.

3 Months later we get contacted by VVM Debt Collecting and informed that we owe Vodacom about R500 on this account. I requested a detailed financial statement from VVM indicating how this figure was arrived at. I also contacted Vodacom to get this info and was bluntly told that they cannot help as the account was handed over. Yesterday, 7 March 2017, I was contacted by VVM again and was told that they will give a discount if I pay. I once again requested a detailed financial statement. Today I was AGAIN contacted by VVM re this account and AGAIN requested a statement of account.

If there is a valid debt I will pay, but to date I STILL have not received a statement so that I can validate where this can be verified.

Amazing how I get a response from Vodacom to acknowledge that the fault was theirs, YET their debt collection agency, VVM, CONTINUES to harass us. Received the following SMS on 6 April 2017:
"Liezl Walls, we are proceeding on your Vodacom (pty) Ltd acc I********. Make an immediate payment to stop the process. VVM ********** 200.
Absolutely pathetic customer service!!!!!!!!!!!
