Vodacom Vodasure Insurance
My name is Maxwell Machila Mlazi,ID number *** and contract cell number ***. During lockdown Period, I went to workshop vodacom shop in Durban, asked the consultant if I could pay my insurance premiums for some months ahead.i was told I was allowed to do so ,so I paid R1000 to cover me at least for four months. Within that period my cell got stollen ,when I reported this to Vodacom,I was told that my cell can be not replaced because they assumed that by the time of the theft ,I had changed the contract sim card for more than 7 days. Vodacom failed to prove that when I asked the consultant to prove it.and I told them that number was not changed ,it was in cell by the time it got stollen,Vodacom insurance failed to track it because the sim number was suspended and that was the reason why it assumed,I had not been using it. Then I was told that I had to get a letter from the service provider (Vodacom) that my contract cell number was suspended and submit it to the insurance company. Upon contacting Vodacom for a such letter,I was told by consultant that Vodacom does not write such letters , instead I was given verified dates as to when the number was suspended and reinstated, which I gave the insurance consultant. From here I have been dodged up to now. To make things worse, Vodacom insurance has been debating up to full payment contract installments despite the fact that I reported to it that the contract phone had been stollen. I have written this letter so that you can fairly honor my claim before I take up this for legal battle. Keenly awaiting for your quick response and thank you in advance for attention. Regards, Maxwell Machila Mlazi
