OK.

I’ve been a client for more than 10 years with vodacom but it seems to be time for change.

I was looking to add another account to add my current Vadacom account, we reside in Secunda so naturally went to Vodashop in Secunda Mall on the 13 th of August 2016 and arrived just before 10, we waited for + - an hour to be helped and had alternative arrangements and had to leave. We decided to rather go to Vadacom 4 u at Carnival mall, an hour’s drive from us but thought that it might be a better option as Secunda branch service is equivalent of going to home affairs for an ID Document.

We made some time to go to Carnivall Mall on 14 th of August and arrived at Carnival mall only to walk into the same mess, only this time they had no queuing structures and had to be part of an argument or 3 as to who was there first(not even a list or attendance register). That being said we also waited for more than an hour and when we reached the sales counter the consultant notified us that that on the new system they can only help us before 2 pm and he would suggest we apply online or contact Vadacom for a new contract.

On the 14th when we got home we went online and ordered the contract we wanted, the order did not go through automatically but ended in a message that a consultant will contact us instead.

No one responded and we contacted Vodacom on the 15th to gather information regarding our online order, They notified that their systems is currently offline and we could not be assisted.

I mean really? Should we as a client beg an organisation or spent hours licking but to be assisted to give them (Vodacom) New business.?

Ridiculous, unprofessional and lack of structure /service comes to mind.

The only reason why we opted to return to Vodacom in the first place was to save time because they have all our details and it ended up in spending more time to just be assisted - God help these who have queries or problems if this is how they treat their new contract clients...

Ultimately we have now decided to gen new bank statements, proof of income and residency as this will take less time if we present those to Cell C, MTN, etc...

Just a complaint by a not important customer.

Kind Regards

Annele Du Preez
