Vodacom Video Play App

The Vodacom Video Play app doesnt work unless you allow the app access to manage and make phone calls as well as know your location and needs access to your media. Vodacom please tell me why an app that plays videos needs to be able to make and manage phone calls as well as know my location and needs access to my media. I want to use the app to view your media not the other way round. I hate apps that try and make a user pay in a conniving way. How are you paying you may ask? Data about my location and access to my media that's how you are making me pay. It so sad that its almost impossible to find an app that is truly free. We have 5 options Vodacom, Mtn, Telkom, Cell C, Virgin Mobile and every single one of them overcharge for Data and then still want to make you pay for their apps with your own data/information. Please can we get one company that doesn't want to ***** their customers over and actually wants to help.
