VODACOM VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

I took out a new/additional vodacom contract end of last month with Elite Mobile. I received a Mecer Notebook Expression and a router with a 1gig data simcard. From the first time I used the Notebook it did not work properly and kept on crashing and giving error reports. About 1 week after struggling I 1st phoned Vodacom to inquire about what to do. I was told to go to my nearest Vodashop. I did this and was then told that I needed to contact Mecer directly with the issue. I contacted Mecer who advised that Vodacom and Elite Mobile must sort the problem out as they gave the contract and delivered the goods. I phoned Vodacom again and had a bunch of conversations with different people and could no one assist. Not even mentioning the times that the phone was put down in my ear. Main thing I was told is that Vodacom can not assist me and that I need to contact Elite Mobile. I started a chat with Elite Mobile who advised that I should contact Mecer. I phoned Mecer who advised that I should phone the branch in Witbank (Called Mustek) and take the Notebook there. They gave me a number. I contacted this number and was advised that there is in fact no branch in Witbank and that they are situated in Nelspruit. Now I am in Middelburg and this is a good 300km away. I was already upset with having to take the faulty Notebook in myself as Witbank was about 40km away from where I stay and is there a tollgate back and forth. these expenses would be on myself?! Needles to say Mustek Nelspruit said that I must contact Vodacom for help. I again contacted Vodacom and was yet again given the runaround and bad service and was eventually advised by MS. Thabo Morabi that they do not repair laptops. I was told to contact Elite Mobile. I once again contacted Elite Mobile who now provided me with the Vodacom repair shop details of the Witbank branch. I was advised to contact them, explain the situation and would they arrange for pick up of the Notebook. I have now already been struggling about 4 weeks to get someone to assist me so by now my 14 day replacement guarantee as well as the cancellation period as set out in the terms and conditions from Vodacom has expired. Still I have had no help and no joy of using my new Notebook and I have not even paid my first installment yet?!! So yet again I contacted the Vodacom Repair shop in Witbank. I explained my situation to the Lady who answered and was transferred to repairs. I Literally just started explaining to the girl who answered my situation and was intterupted before I could even get a good 2 sentences in and she said that I need to talk to sales. I was transferred again to sales and received a voicemail saying I should leave a message. I phoned back and the girl in repairs answered again. The line was very bad and could I barely here her. I told her that I was not even done talking when she transferred me. She said ok whats the problem and I explained my story again. She said that she could not assist as they do not do repairs on laptops and that I should phone Vodacom directly. This frustrated me and as I started explaining to her that I have already phoned everyone I was told to, she put the phone down in my ear. I phoned back again. The same girl answered and I asked for her name, which I could not hear because the line was very bad. I asked for details of the person she thinks I should phone but she kept on saying "hello" as if she could not hear me and put the phone down again. I urgently need to be helped, I cant pay for a notebook that I can not use. Between my husband and I we have 4 contracts with Vodacom and also has contracts for our kids and if this is the service then we will migrate. More than 15 years of being loyal clients and always paying our account and this is the treatment Vodacom returns. UNACCEPTABLE! I am being prejudiced with this behavior.

Query has definitely not been resolved. I was contacted by Mr. Safiek Andrews from Vodacom who promised to sort out the problem. After a short while I did receive a phone call from Mr. Andrews in which he advised that he has sorted out the matter and that I will be contacted for collection of the device. The whole contract will then be cancelled and a new contract be done for me with a new device. My first installment went off and my 2nd installment is due in 2 days and still no one has contacted me. I tried phoning the number that Mr. Andrews phoned me from, which rang a couple of times and then stopped. I now request that this contract be cancelled immediately and am I not interested in a new contract. I will also be cancelling both my 2 children's Vodacom contracts which is on my husband's name and which is due for upgrade this month. I look forward to hearing from ANYONE shortly Eliouse ********** 635
