> I have been with Vodacom (Unfortunately) since 2000 :(

> I have had a RED VIP contract since 2013

> I am really open to switch from Vodacom in lieu of the bad service I receive in general when I am forced to deal with them. The only issue is then I need to deal with them anyway for number porting etc. and then sometimes that produces its own complications.

1.) My X company took over the billing of my account while I was employed with them. I went to carry out my contract transfer on the 18th October 2016 at the useless Eastgate vodashop as I would be with my new company on the 1st November 2016. I was assured that all would be taken care of in 24-36 hours.

2.) 1 Month later I make a call to ********** (Business customer Care service center) and ask them if the transfer is done. They said the system still showed Company X but it should be completed by 1 Dec 2016. Obviously I am not happy about this and complain to the service agent who indicates "there is nothing they can do from their side, I will have to go back to the Vodacom shop".

3.) Comet he 8th Dec 2016 I try and do my upgrade to the unlimited Red VIP package and I am told on the website that due to it being a business phone this has to be done in the shop. So now I am slightly perturbed that Vodacom have wasted all the time I spent at the shop and on the phone and the problem is still there. I again phoned ********** and they indicated that "they have not received the forms" and that I had no choice but to return to the vodashop.

4.) Firstly, I had to make contact with Company X to redo all of the original forms and Director Letters on the company letter head as I was pretty sure the useless Vodacom shop in east gate managed by a "Johan" lost the originals I already gave them.

5.) On the 13th Dec 2016 I returned to the useless Vodacom shop in east gate managed by a "Johan" and asked him why he thinks it’s necessary for me (the paying customer for 16 years) has to on his time return to the shop that fails to carry out their very basic tasks? Obviously I was answered with ummmmmm, ahhhhh answers and nothing concrete. Bottom line was that useless Vodacom shop in east gate managed by a "Johan" failed to submit the documentations. So i reissued them the new original copies and he assured me he would send them through. I asked him for his number and he gave me the shop number ********** . He told me 24-36 hours and it would be done. So that means on the 15th it should be completed. GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.) I walk back into the shop on Saturday the 17th Dec 2016 to tackle Johan once again as the account is still in Company X name and the 8 calls I made to the shop was not answered ONCE. Johan, Mr. Useless then shows me a receipt of the documents that were sent through to "midrand" for the transfer to be done and assured me that his side was completed. So instead of him following up and ensuring the transfer takes place he gives me the reference number for proof that the documents were sent. INC ********** 85337. So he tells me they don’t work on Saturday but should sort this out Monday the 19th Dec 2016. GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!! It was not sorted out

6.) On the 19th Dec 2016 I phone the number useless Vodacom shop in east gate managed by a "Johan" told me to phone ********** , and gave them my reference number that "Johan" gave me. A lady "Kitiwe Kwinda" answers the phone with "how can I be of assistance to you". I responded to her that I will bet that after this call she still would not actually have assisted me. Which has been the normal chit chat with these useless service agents since this whole mess started. She didn’t take the bet and I would have won the bet anyway. Bottom line after holding on the phone for 18 minutes, once again, she tells me: She has not record of documents from that vodashop and she can’t get hold of them so me (The paying customer for 16 years) must go back to the vodashop and get the documents and submit them at another vodashop. THAT IS THE SOLUTION TO MY PROBLMES. I think not. And now I need to return to the useless Vodacom shop in east gate managed by a "Johan" and ensure they actually sent the documents to the right email address or just get my original documents and go to another vodashop who will ***** me around for another 2 months.

I have already looked in to MTN and Telkom and CellC but have not found conclusive evidence of whom to migrate too. Furthermore, I fear that that process alone will be somewhat taxing on my time and effort to completed. Why do paying customers get such shait service? They so amazingly quick and efficient when money needs to be taken...but when service is to be delivered they are NOWHERE to be found

An update on this complaint. Finally my contact terminated on the 8th March 2017. I am porting officially to CellC. I have had extremely good service so far and the network has been far more stable at the moment than what I have experienced with Vodacom of late. I am on the unlimited calling option with CellC and it is working great. Cheaper than Vodacom as well. Another bonus. 10Gigs, Unlimited calls, 4000 SMS and a New Iphone 7 Plus for only R 1600 bucks. that is a good deal. So this will be my last post and I do wish Vodacom a unprosperous 2017.
In closing:
1.) I submitted all the required transfer documentations to the Vodacom Shop at Eastgate
2.) They failed to do a transfer of ownership into my personal capacity from my previous employer after more than 150 phone calls and countless trips to the vodashop.
3.) My contract expired on the 8th March 2017 and at last I am free from the terrible service that is VODACOM.
Hello CELLC. We shall see.
