Vodacom used to be good, but sonewhere this changed.
Vodacom as a company has become all about taking your money, and less about providing a service. Just now, I bought a hungry lion voucher with vodabucks, costing 250vb +R29 card payment. The app gave an error on card payment, but atill took my vodabucks. The lady at customer care says I will have to wait untill 15 November (a week) for the VB to be returned. I could have bought sonething to eat from another place, had they returned my VB. The fault is in theyr side, but I have to wait. This on top of the utter disinterrest on solving bad to no coverage on the farm. There used to be perfect coverage, until a year or so ago. Now you are lucky if you can even get signal. I have reported the issue 4 times, along with numerous other affected farmers in the area. All you get is: we will escalate and get back to you. When you follow up, the escalation has been closed/solved without so much as a call or change in status of the reported problem. It seems that they only care about the big cities, and feel nothing for rural areas. MTN at least does care about us. I have been with Vodacom for 20 years now, but when this contract term ends, I am going to MTN. They are happy to welcome me over. Already stopped my data contract.
Vodacom used to be for the people, but somewhere that changed. I am really disapointed in them as a company.
