Vodacom upgrades/migrates account without permission. 7 months later- still not rectified.
I can't even begin to explain the frustration! It's been SEVEN months and STILL you have not sorted out the problem. I've been a customer for over 20 years. You decide, oh ok, lets migrate/upgrade all this customer's lines to higher packages, without her consent, she will never notice. A R80 package changes to a R480 package. A R546 package moves up to R630 and the R727 package goes up to R813. So in total the whole account increases by just under R600 a month. Who would notice right???? So if you do this to one customer why not do it to all the customers that YOU think will not notice????
Unfortunately for you, I noticed the massive increase on my account. So this is a warning to all your loyal customers out there that needs to know the truth about how you increase your income, each and every month.
I've called a million times, I've screamed, I've shouted, I've pleaded, but after SEVEN months you still have not credited my account with the accumulated number it has added to my account in SEVEN months.
You want me to first PAY the outstanding amount and THEN you will fix it. So in the interim you just cut my lines so I'm left with no way to communicate when I'm outside a wifi zone. I can be stranded on the side of the road or kidnapped or killed you dont care AT ALL. Your advice to me is just get another prepaid sim card until the issue is resolved. REALLY??????
I had ONE consultant, Anastasia, who used her brain and worked out what I really owe you on the 17th of October 2024. I made that payment and she opened the lines. At the end of October I paid my normal amount which I'm contractually bound to pay.
Then on 7 November 2024 I get a legal letter telling me to pay R5220, 93 within 7 days otherwise you will blacklist me. So I call again and speak to yet another consultant and explain the whole story AGAIN as I have had to do each and every time I call you, because you keep claiming it's this department or that department that did this and you can't put me through to them or even speak to them yourselves because you only communicate via email. A mobile phone company's staff members that only communicate via email. Now please make me understand that to make ANY sense?????
If I have to add all the reference numbers for the calls I've made in the past SEVEN months here , I'd need another 50 pages. But here is one. 250963.
I cannot call you because my lines are yet again barred and the ***4 or *** does not work if your line is cut. I don't have the energy anymore to call your 082135 number and hold for yet another hour or 7 just to explain my issue yet again to yet another *********** staff member.
If I could cancell ALL my contracts today, I would do it in a heartbeat, but to do that I'll have to pay the balance of the contracts which is an amount I don't have and even if I had it, I'd definitely not spend it on you!
So this is a warning to all Vodacom customers. Check your accounts, because like me, you have also probably been upgraded/migrated without your permission and no one will help you. They will just expect you to pay the balance, even after they have changed the migration BACK to the original packages, CLEARLY an admission that THEY are at fault. And they won't reconnect your lines until you pay the money THEY added to your account WITHOUT your permission.
So Vodacom, I really hope you have ONE competent staff member that can use their brain and fix this mess. I will only talk to the person who will rectify this and I'm NOT willing to wait another 7 to 14 days for an answer. Or another SEVEN months. If you can upgrade/migrate 3 lines in a day, WHY are you not able to fix this in the same amount of time????
I'm done listening to every excuse on the planet, I'm really just DONE!!!
At this stage, I believe a divorce might be the most logical option. You can write off the cost of cancelling the contracts, and we all know this is less than pocket change for you, and we can part ways amicably. I'll keep my numbers I've had for over 20 years and I'l find a partner who actually cares about their customers.
Or maybe we can try think outside of the box and you can employ me to deal with all the thousands of customers you have done the same to once this goes viral, as clearly I would be the best to understand their frustration, and I'll use my brain and understanding for people and excellent customer service to assist them, not in due course, but in a humanly acceptable and reasonable time, which both parties would agree to. And I won't just blame it on another department, but take responsibility to resolve the problem and keep the customer updated myself, with my name and surname so they are able to contact me again and not speak to another employee who is not permitted to share their surname. The customer would not need to tell their story over and over again, as all the details would be right infront of me once I open their file, on a computer with universal capacity, with the help of incredible technology which has been built over the years. As a technologically advanced company, one would think that you would be on the forefront of having all the information infront of you with the click of a button, but clearly, this is not the case.
I look forward speaking to the human who has the ability to resolve this and has taken the time and effort to understand it.
