Vodacom upgrades - I said no thank you 3 times

Tuesday, 18 July 2017 a Vodacom call centre employee called to inform me that I was due for an upgrade on my data device and offered me a new Vodacom data contract and router. I rep**** that that I would like to first think about it and discuss it with my spouse. The pushy consultant said that he would load my information and set everything up in case I decide to go ahead . When he handed me to his supervisor I repeated that I first wanted to discuss and think about it who handed me back. The call centre man stated that he would sms me his number and if I was unhappy I could phone and cancel (although I said I don't want to lock myself in a contract before discussing it with my husband.) He **** because he never sent me an sms with his number.

After comparing network data prices I realised the Vodacom contract I was offered was not a good deal and although I didn't agree to take the new contract I decided the next day, Wednesday, 19 July 2017 to phone the cancellations department and cancel my old contract and any other new contracts the pushy consultant might have activated. The call centre assistant assured me all was cancelled.

Thursday, 20 July 2017 a RAM van shows up at my house to deliver a new router that I never asked for. I filled in the cancellation section on the delivery slip and returned the box to the friendly delivery man.

I immediately again phoned the Vodacom service department to make sure that no money is deducted from my account for something I did not order and a contract I canceled. The friendly lady at the aftersales department said she could only cancel it in 3 working day's time. She said I can phone back on Tuesday, 25 July 2017 to check that the contract is cancelled.

I have spent about 4 hours on my phone to try and cancel a router and contract I never asked for. Vodacom, please train your call centre personal to not activate a new contract when the customer says she wants to first think about it.
