Vodacom Upgrades

On 20 June we processed an online upgrade to a 30Gb contract @R449 per month. At 10:52pm we received a confirmation email of the upgrade stating that the free router is out of stock. On 30 June we phoned just to get an update on the router situation as nothing further had been communicated only to be told that the upgrade had been cancelled. No communication was forthcoming and no reasons could be furnished On 01 July we started phoning again trying to obtain further information all to no avail. We spoke to customer care, online, after sales and upgrades. Each person in each department stated they cannot be of assistance and palmed us off onto the next dept. this was from tele staff to senior consultants.

As of today 15 July we are still none the wiser as to who and why our upgrade was cancelled and as to why it cannot be rectified. The order reference is Vodacomonline- ********** ********** 33 and shows order has been placed successfully.

Further to the above, the upgraded now evidently still current contract is a 20Gb recurring contract – even on the June statement it is referred to as a recurring contract. Despite this we appear to have been charged for data at out-of-bundle rates to the tune of R1455,58. This also just goes unanswered. This never occurred previously up to the May account when all of a sudden something changed. Please explain this. On 13 July we received a "courtesy" call from a consultant regarding an email that i sent in desperation who stated it is in progress. When asked for a reference he hung up. The question now is how do we merely upgrade our contract

Reviewer Update
So now after what we thought to be promising feedback and progress we are exactly where we were on 20 June - absolutely nowhere. Still no upgrade and after so many calls promising to solve and provide feedback etc etc etc. Again today we get told it will be escalated - with all of these so called escalations this problem should be with the chairman of the board by now. It is starting to appear that the only solution is to cancel everything and move to a different provider
