Vodacom upgraded my phone automatically

My son's phone's contract expired this year and I was able to renew the contract with a new phone, Vodacom somehow decided to upgrade my phone without my consent. They have registered me for a new contract for the next 2 years. Now I cannot upgrade my phone anymore, After various attempts to cancel this upgrade (last one was REF: ***), the upgrade is still in place and I am not allowed to upgrade the phone, How can Vodacom decide by themselves to upgrade a phone? The irony is that I have 3 other phones (4 in total) that are are all due for upgrades. I want to upgrade all of them once this issue has been resolved. But Vodacom is reluctant to reverse their own wrong doing and in the process miss out on upgrades of all my phones.

I thought that all my issues were resolved, and all three phones have been upgraded successfully. (I have downgraded my own contract with Vodacom and will probably cancel it now because I have a work phone). Now all of a sudden, two data sims have been added to my wife's phone number (Jan 2020 account). I nearly pay double now for her contract per month and I don't even have the data sims. We did not order such SIMS! After the previous debacle I cannot upgrade without showing my ID and dealer has to phone ***** department. How did this one go through?
