VODACOM UPGRADE ***** UP

On Monday the 24th of February I was supposed to receive my phone which I upgraded using Vodacom online (Internet). The phone was going to be delivered to my home address. I called RAM to change the address to my work address, the agent took down my work address and advised me to contact Vodacom to update my address as they are not authorised to just change addresses. When I called Vodacom I was told it will take 48 hrs for the update to happen and then only will my phone be delivered, to which I declined. I called RAM on the 27th to advise that I will be at home on Friday and they can deliver to my home address. To my surprise RAM sent the parcel to my work place. I called the delivery guy around 12:00 and they couldn’t deliver to my address. I called RAM, and first spoke to Lucas. After 20 mins we got cut off and he didn’t bother to call me back. When I called Vodacom online, I spoke to Zandile who tried to help, and she called RAM. I was on the phone for 30 minutes. I (myself) manged to get through to RAM. I told them if they are unable to deliver today (Friday, 28) that I want the upgrade cancelled. Zandile advised me that she is unable to the line further and I can cancel the upgrade with RAM

When I spoke to RAM again, I was assisted by Jolene who informed me that Karabo is the one that changed my address on the syste. I asked them how this happened because I did not log a request with Vodacom to change it. She said Karabo is on lunch and she is unable to tell me how the change happened?

I called Vodacom online again and spoke to Rodwell Bigger. I asked him for a team leader, and he said that I must send an email to online. I asked him which call centre I was through to and he said online but still asked me to send an email to online. To me as a custome that was very confusing and gave me the idea he is not willing to help. We argued and he hung up on me. I called back again and spoke to Slindile Mbatha who was also very rude, told me she is not to blame for the issue I am experiencing and that they have been told not to take Customers who are irate and hung up on me. I called again and got through to Zandi – was told the team leaders are all not available.

Marlon from RAM called me, and I asked him to cancel the upgrade. He offered to deliver on Monday, to which I refused.

I called Vodacom upgrades and was assisted but Christine from ***, she called the online team and did a conference call. We got through to Slindile who told us the team leaders are not available and she can’t put us through to any of them. We asked to hold, to which she said she can’t keep us on the line for that long. She advised the team leaders will be available in 15 mins. She called her Senior Lisa who was equally as rude and uncooperative. I asked her to send an email to have this contract cancelled.

After wasting 30 minutes with Lisa, we asked for the team leader seeing that 15 minutes had passed. We were put through to Slindile and said she “thought” the team leader would be available after 15 minutes. We (myself and Christina from Vodacom upgrades ***) insisted that we want to speak to a team leader. She put us through to a senior agent by the name of Sindy Msomi who took our query and offered to call RAM. I gave her all the details. Of my grievance.

My issue is not just the phone, I made arrangements and took a day’s leave off work so I can receive the phone. My experience with Vodacom has been appalling to say the least. I cannot get a FULL DAY’S leave back because of people’s incompetence. As a customer, I do not deserve to deal with rude, *********** 3rd parties. My business is with Vodacom.

Your service is APPALLING, and to think I have been with the company for YEARS is frustrating. I want people to be held accountable for this. I HAVE LOST MY FULL DAY OF LEAVE FOR NOTHING….
