Vodacom Upgrade Error: Still Not Resolved After Multiple Calls
I was contacted by a consultant about doing an upgrade, which I had not been planning. He convinced me to proceed, and we finalized the upgrade. Shortly afterwards, I received an SMS informing me that the device was out of stock.
Three days later, I followed up and discovered that the consultant had signed me up for a pre-owned device instead. I immediately requested a cancellation and was assured it would be processed within 24 hours.
However, the very next day, the couriers were already out for delivery. I called Vodacom again to repeat my cancellation request and was once more promised a 24-hour turnaround. The consultant also informed me that the original sales representative had charged me more per month for the pre-owned device contract than what a new device on contract should have cost.
It has now been five days, and there is still a hold on my account. I am unable to request a new upgrade because the system shows that an upgrade is still in process.
I’ve just called Vodacom again—only to be told that the original upgrade still hasn’t been cancelled.
