Vodacom Upgrade Disaster

I did my upgrade online on Wednesday 18/01/2017 and received an email confirmation thereof. On Monday 23/01/2017, after not hearing anything further, i called into the call centre where a lady infired methat the online depatment had not submitted my upgrade, but that she could help me do the upgrade over the phone. We then proceeded to do the upgrade and she said that i would receive a call to confirm delivery addreess the same day and will receive delivery by Wednesday 25/01/2017 latest. Wednesday came and went, I received no phone calls or a phone. So again I phoned the call cenre where I spoke to a gentleman that informed me that I would receive my phone today, 26/01/2017. After not hearing anything yet again, I phoned into the call centre again, only to be informed that the RAM truck was hojacked and I will not receive my phone untill the insurance has paid out??? I proceeded to tell the gentleman that this had nothing to do with me, I have not received a phone, I have not signed for a phone so how can i be penalised for something that went wrong on their side? He said that the insurance will contact me, because the phine has been allocated to me, so only after the insurance pays out will I receive anything, He did not seem tounderstand that I am not liable for the phone if I had not received it, so I requested to speaktp a manager after which he refused to transfer me and said tehre is nobody that will help me, thats just the way it is. I requested again to speak to a manager and he just blatanly put me on hold, without saying a word further and never came back on the phone.

I simply cannot believe that VODACOM is basically holding me hostage because of THEIR courier that has been hijacked. HOW does it make sense to hold me responsible or make me wait until the insurance has paid out? I never received the phone so what in the world does the truck being hijacked and the insurance pay out have to do with me???

I this even LEGAL????????? Is this in line with ICASA rules and regulations? And what about the Consumer Protection Act???

I am utterly DISGUSTED and enraged by the absolute imcompetence and arrogance that I have experienced in the last weeks with Vodacom. I have been a loyal customer sibce the age of 12 and this is how they treat me? I am seriously contemplating moving to another network as their service cannot possible be worse than this!!

Absolutely unbelieveble.
