Vodacom Upgrade call agent ****

On Wednesday 26 February 2025 my husband received a call from a Vodacom agent (David Stanton) offering him a Vodacom promotion which would include the same airtime that we currently enjoy (Red flexi 150 plan) to include a Samsung A06 handset. My husband and I have the same packages which expire in June 2026 and will be available for upgrade in January 2026. I told him that I would be interested too. He mentioned the terms and conditions but it was so fast that I requested it to be sent via e-mail as we are elderly (73 and 75) and it is impossible to remember everything. He agreed to send terms and conditions via e-mail and then we will have direct contact with him. Told us that we will also receive the upgrade SMS from Vodacom. By end of day nothing was received. This morning I started by calling the number that he called from ***. Nobody knew the name. I then called Vodacom customer care who advised that an upgrade quote was generated via a Durban store. They provided the number ***) but there was no answer after trying it several times. I later got through to the number via Vodacom Customer Care. They advised that it was a repairs store. The name David Stanton not known to them. After several calls and discussions with Vodacom Customer Care we have had no success. I requested to speak to a manager but the usual story came up. They are all in a meeting.

Whilst Vodacom advised that they will make contact with me, I have not heard from them.

Irrespective of Vodacom's replies, my complaint has not been resolved. I am available on my phone. A consultant phoned at an inconvenient time and promised to call back at 14H00 that afternoon, which never happened.
I again approached Vodacom via WhatsApp and a consultant made contact and advised me to complete a ***** dispute form which I did and e-mailed same to the relative division. They informed me that this was not a ***** dispute and submitted everything to the store involved to resolve the issue.
Well, nothing has happened. I have to pay for a handset I do not have and seem to have lost my data allocation due to expire in June 2026. My account has not been restored to the original
contract.
Further e-mails were sent to Vodacom on 17 and 19 March 2025. However, no response at all.
Vodacom is quick to respond that they will communicate directly with the client but as you can see from my further reply that nothing happens. It is just an easy way out.
