Vodacom Upgrade

I accepted an upgrade agreement for a 2 year contract with Vodacom on 01/10/2021. This was for an iPhone 11 - price suited etc. Today I phone and query and get told by the lovely lady that the phone is not available - must take a more expensive package now. What about my agreement? Surely this works both ways? She said she would come back 14h30 - I call in to find out and get told by a gentleman that no I need to take a more expensive package. Or take the XR (pre iPhone11 so like duh) or pay more or pay nearly the same over 36 months!! ************s of note. ****** actually as now it will cost me more and we had an agreement in place??? Like how does that work Vodacom? The inconvenience and lest we not forget this was for my daughters birthday - thanks Vodacom

Dear Vodacom - can this be resolved now please? I had a call this am from but unfortunately had to request Thebiso to call me back. Maybe he very busy attending to other poor service issues??
I am still waiting - I trust that he has an amicable resolution?

Oh dear. An apology (as in 'don't know why the original agent said the unit was available - sorry for that' -- well I do: its a **** on Vodacom's part to get a sale) and no resolution so order cancelled. So indeed I am a long standing customer (20 years plus) but "VALUED" - that is pushing it Vodacom. Make yourselves look good with your flowery reply - why not put what really transpired out there.
No effort to make good at all just the customer having to pay more now.
