Vodacom unrightfully took a debit order and wont refund me.

I am disappointed with Vodacom. As a 12 year client I had developed trust for their service.

I have always been happy renewing my contract and Vodacom gladly helped me.

But now that I wanted to change over to pay as you go I’ve been treated like a second class client, my money taken unrightfully and no effort has been made to rectify it.

In May I changed over to pay as you go because my contract had finished. In June the debit order came off for that month, as I expected.

However, in July another debit came off with no service having been provided to me. This was wrongfully taken from me.

In the beginning I was very amiable and worked with Vodacom stuff to be refunded.

However 11 weeks later I still do not have my money back.

I have spent over 2 hours on the phone being bounced between customer care, accounts, and special divisions, all promising me the complaint had been escalated.

At one point accounts told me I would be refunded within 7-10 working days. That has come and gone over a month ago.

I then went into a Vodacom shop. And I was told I would be refunded on the 15th August. That has come and gone.

After phoning a consultant again, pleading for his help, he told me to complain on Hello Peter.

Can you believe it. The only avenue I have now to get my money back is complaining on Hello Peter!

Like I said, I’m disappointed in Vodacom.

I just want my money that was wrongfully taken.

Unless I get my debit order back by the 25th August 2016, I’m reversing the debit order with my bank and moving to Telkom mobile.
