Vodacom unilaterally changes contract price during the contract period

I entered into 2 new contracts with Vodacom in November last year. The price was agreed at that time. 4 months into the contract, Vodacom has unilaterally increased the price of the contracts without even making me aware. This is disgraceful to agree a price and then charge more, 4 months into a 24 month contract. I believe that this app**** to all contracts, not just mine. How on earth does Vodacom get away with this? It lacks integrity and is exploitative.

Your standard reply is incorrect. I negotiated the two new contracts telephonically with the Vodacom Retentions Department. Only package and price were discussed. I never received, nor agreed to be bound by the contract you refer to. I have not seen this agreement, nor have I been referred to this agreement and cannot be bound by it. I wasn't even aware of it. I certainly never agreed that Vodacom could unilaterally change the material terms of the contracts 4 months into 24 month contracts. I invite you to listen to your recorded phone calls relating to these contracts to verify this. Perhaps this should be adjudicated on in the court of public opinion, the civil courts and by ICASA, with whom I intend laying a complaint. With regard to the communication about the increase, I receive electronic invoices and that document you refer to was never sent to me. I have never seen it. I suspect this applies to many of your other clients as well. All said and done, for Vodacom to negotiate contracts with me and then 4 months later unilaterally change a material term is simply immoral (and ******* in my situation). I will be taking this matter further via the broader social media channels and a compaint to ICASA.
