Vodacom unauthorised contract

I am currently playing hide and seek with Vodacom Tygervalley, Cape Town. I was due for a cellphone contract upgrade in July and I went to the store to rather cancel my contract since I no longer need it.

I was told that I should pay a cancellation fee or else wait for this November so my contract can end automatically since my 24 months contract ends in November 30th.

To my surprise, I was told at the Century City brunch yesterday that my contract was extended to November 2026! So much for being proactive!

Now I am asking Vodacom for a way forward. At the store, I am told to call *** and I was transferred to after sales at 1945 where I was told that I should rather go to the store.

At the store they are referring to the cancellation department which referred me to after sales department which referred back to the store!

All I want is to opt out! How hard can that be???
