Vodacom: two months waiting for service
I live in an area (smallholding/farm) with NO reception and had a booster installed. Due to bad installation, the aerial mountings, and subsequently the aerial, came loose and is now laying on my house's roof. Reporting it: 1st week of December 2015: A return call from technical service (to someone in the family who can be reached, passed on to me): \We are scaling down for Christmas. Please re-report on 16 January. Then we will prioritize. You are not allowed to fix it. It is our equipment. You will be held responsible for current and all possible future damage if you do. We'll call you for an appointment. If we can't reach you, we cannot come and fix it. You might not be home\" (How will you reach me my friend? You must fix the thing to call me on!!).
19th January 2016 (Vodacom customer care): \"The complaint is still active. We will send it through again\". (Nothing in reply from the technical dept.)
12th February 2016: (Vodacom customer care): \"We have no record. Can we register it as a new complaint? We'll call you back\" (still waiting).
Well done Vodacom, 2 months without reception. I suggest you change your service rating at your Customer Care Centre to 0 to minus 10."
