Vodacom turns off eSim on devices, making it not usable
I bought my galaxy S22 ultra a month ago, this is the second time in A MONTH that vodacom has failed me.
Vodacom has turned off the eSim option on my device. I called Vodacom and they told me "you have to have a galaxy watch to have eSim activated"
First off Vodacom, I do NOT want your eSim. I am going to Germany and I want A GERMAN ESIM.
Secondly, I bought this device with that feature.... you cannot turn off that feature saying "but you need a galaxy watch".
That is like saying "for you to use your device speaker, you need an watch first". Bull**** man! Samsung developed this as a stand alone feature on the S22 series.
Vodacom come on man, FFS!
BTW, I spoken to 2 friends, both have the eSim feature activated on their S22 and S22 Ultra device. Both of them are at Telkom. So why did Vodacom turn this feature off? This is a feature that made me boughtbthe S22 Ultra.
Vodacom I do not want your eSim, I want the SAMSUNG feature to ADD MOBILE PLAN activated on my device. I can only guess that vodacom turned this feature off so that users are more likely to roam and make more money for vodacom. I will never ise vodacom in my life ever again. I will take both incidences and advise
I have spoken to a Vodacom consultant Asanda and senior consultant Chad.
It is unacceptable that Vodacom can turn off a Samsung feature without notifying the customer. And they sold this device to me with eSim in the specs as a feature
