Vodacom trying to trick me to stay on their contract

Since early this year around April, I have been trying to cancel one of my vodacom contract and the consultants would avoid my request and offer me a smaller repayment. When I refuse, suddenly the line would cut off. This went on for months until I just left it.

Just like everyone else, covid affected my finances. They kept billing me and I kept paying them no matter how late my payment was. On 7 August at 17:26 I called Vodacom again with the same request, I spoke to Lwande told him I want cancel my contract as it has been due for upgrade but I don't want to upgrade but cancel the contract.

Again he tried to offer me something less, I refused and he put me through to cancel department and I spoke to Rose, the time was now 17:34. I explained the same story to Rose, she assured me that the contract now canceled. But to my surprise 1 Sept, I was given the same monthly airtime and a bill was sent to me on my app.

I will not be paying that bill, as far as I am concerned my contract ended. I have not touched the airtime loaded on my account. Vodacom please take your airtime, reverse your bill and close the number in question.
