Vodacom trying to play the blame game...against their clients!

I am writing this review with a lot of rage, anger and true disappointment in the service delivery i am currently faced with regarding an upgrade I did at the end of July on my contract i have had for quite a number of years with vodacom. After the upgrade was done i got confirmation of the Upgrade with terms and conditions that did not explain to me anything regarding having to still pay for the handset i was upgrading from. The next statement i got for July and August 2020 still reflected an amount i was aware of and happy to pay.

My issue is the following. In the month of August 2020 i could not pay my monthly debit order. This i take full responsibility for. However i was able to pay the bill i got the statement for this month. After the upgrade was done i got confirmation of the Upgrade with terms and conditions that did not explain to me anything regarding having to still pay for the handset i was upgrading from. The next statement i got for July and August 2020 still reflected an amount i was aware of and happy to pay. I was sent the statement with an amount of R1327.96 on 2020/09/18 advising me of this. Last night my debit order went off my account for an amount of R2147.84. When i queried this i was continuously bombarded by the fact that the terms and conditions were sent to me stating that i am still responsible for a payment of the previous handset. This which is referred to i never received as said before the terms and conditions i got on the confirmation of upgrade said nothing of the sorts. As stated i reached out and queried this on social media but instead of any vodacom representatives acknowledging the fact that the terms referred to the whole time was never sent to me directly after the upgrade was done. Above all i was not sent a statement advising me of the R2000 plus amount only the R1300 plus amount. I am seriously considering firstly to go to my bank and have the amount reversed back into my account and Vodacom can expect a payment made once they sort this miscommunication out, as well as secondly report them to,The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA). Companies must stop taking the **** out of people who keep them alive and think we are all stupid and we dont know our rights. I regret even upgrading this time i was in two minds about it i should have rather waited for the contract to come to term so that i can terminate and rather go to some other service provider. Seeing that years of loyalty and paying exuberant data costs means nothing to a company such as vodacom.

Reviewer Update
Your records show correct I have been chatting to the social media people however I wont leave it here, I have been told that I was supposed to get a quotation after applying for the upgrade which would have included the correct terms and conditions which I did not get, secondly I was advised that a rep from Vodacom should have called me to which also did not happen. So I request that I get proof of the so called email that was sent on the day of the upgrade 31/07/2020 as well as the so called phone call I need a copy of the recording sent to me. And if I may request that you ensure to not do any other Vodacom clients the same injustice that happened to me please ensure that you do your jobs properly that what you get paid for to do you can easily harass a person with new contracts phone calls every other week regardless of how many times you say no thanks used those people to ensure you call you clients in these types of situations. ICASA will also be hearing from my soonest
oh and thanks for the complementary 1 gig for 24 months I feel like a child at McDonalds that gets a soft serve when my order is taking to long.
