Vodacom treats their Customers with utter disrespect and do NOT keep promises!!

I have tried unsuccessfully to resolve an issue which was caused by Vodacom since October 2021. To date (09 Feb 2022) it remains unresolved. I am being sent from this department to that department, and from this store to that store. I have reference numbers, but they do not help AT all!! I have been a Vodacaom customer since 1997!! Yet, I am treated with utter disrespect. When I called yesterday, I was told I was talking to a 'human being' who is not a computer system. Really????

Good day,

Thank you for your feedback. However I have not received an updated Statement for Feb 2022. The one I do have, is dated 03 Feb 2022 and does not show any credits. I also received an SMS from Vodacom stating that the 1 x number (which should never have been allocated / created in the first place), was changed to Pre-Paid. That is incorrect. The new number should never have been created by Vodacom. I provided a document including interaction with Vodacom on 09 Feb 2022 which clearly set out what discussions took place and what the outcomes are expected.

I will await the updated Statement from Vodacom for Feb 2022.

Good day,

I received an SMS text message on 26 February 2022, stating I needed to make an urgent payment on my Vodacom for an amount of R359,503.00 to bring my account up-to-date.
I kept thinking I miss-read the text message, but I did not. I stressed about the message fended up calling the number which Vodacom included in the SMS text.
I spoke to a very helpful consultant / agent who talked me through the issue and mentioned that my account was in fact up-to-date.
  • The root cause of the erroneous SMS text message is uncertain.
  • The amount owed and which needed to be paid by 01 April 2022, is actually less than R500.00
  • The Credits will be displayed in my next Statement; and is expected to reflect the correct amount payable, going forward.
  • I will await my Statement and check my Payment Due on 07 April 2022.

Thank you.
