Vodacom treats their customers like disposable goods

I closed an unused Vodacom account last year, which was costing me R59 a month, for something I don't use. I even enquired earlier in the year to cancel early, and paid the amount stated to me by Vodacom, for early cancellation. I sent them proof of payment. Meanwhile, Vodacom just kept deducting the R59 from my account, even after I requested early cancellation and paid up the outstanding amount. By December I considered the matter closed because the account was to come to and end by end of November 2021. Now, 4 months later I see on my credit score that Vodacom has listed me as a slow payer of the damn R59, and the matter has been handed over to the Vodacom legal department, while I paid the early cancellation fee! What is going on here? This is annoying to say the least and an inconvenience. R59. Really, Vodacom? Really.

Sure, I will be waiting with bated breath. Doubt my issue will be resolved anyway, your service until now has not instilled much confidence and I always pull at the shortest end. But sure, I'll wait for your "consultant making contact in due course".

I am not happy with the "payment arrangement" - they just told me that I still owe an amount of R59 post-November after I paid an early cancellation fee of R97.50 in September already. Now I hear that although the request for early cancellation was acknowledged and a quotation provided by Vodacom to settle the account per early cancellation fee request, it never happened that way. I was still liable for R59 payments until November! So why do you give clients an early cancellation option, if it will mean nothing at the end of the day? it's like the early cancellation request, quotation and payment of early cancellation fees never happened! So please, let your "consultant make contact in due course" because a lot of this arrangement does not make sense to me. Someone somewhere did not do their job, and now I am being held liable and threatened by being handed over to the legal department over a R59. Your response is as ridiculous as your so-called "early cancellation" option.
