Vodacom treating a loyal customer like a ********

Good day

To say the very least, I am deeply disappointed by the treatment I have received from Vodacom with this ongoing issue I had since last year April when I requested to cancel my contract and move to prepaid.

Firstly without even giving me any indication or notification whatsoever that I have an account that is in arrears Vodacom just decides to hand my account over. I have heard nothing from Vodacom in terms of outstanding fees owed to them and the first I hear of this is from an agency requesting when I am going to make a payment for an outstanding account. Is this the process even legal?

Secondly and most importantly I don't have any outstanding fees regarding my Vodacom account. In fact I am on prepaid and cancelled my contract in April/May 2016 already. I requested a quotation for the outstanding balance as well as the penalty fees which I paid via EFT.

Cancellation of this contract and movement from contract to prepaid was an absolute nightmare as I practically had to beg and plead Vodacom on numerous emails and telephone calls to please switch me over to prepaid as I have paid the requested amount. This was an ongoing saga which I also logged on Hello Peter as I have also spoken to numerous managers, supervisors and back office staff but nobody could assist me. They made endless empty promises to get back to me which they obviously didn’t do and unless I called to follow up nobody got back to me.

To now, have the nerve, to call me and tell me I owe them money is absolutely ludicrous as this was entirely their fault and they couldn't even have the courtesy and decency to inform me that I have an account that is in arrears before handing my account over.

I actually feel deeply offended and insulted regarding this matter because in all the years I had a contact phone with Vodacom I have never ever defaulted on one payment. In fact I have a very proud record with my bank as I have never skipped payment on any of my debt in over 10 years I have my bank account.

Before responding to me please first go and do your investigation by listening to all the calls and reading all the emails between me and Vodacom. My details are.

Phone number: ********** 827

Email: ********** (I might also have used my work email: ********** )

Thank you and kind regards

Warren

Credit Works is still calling me so I assuming that this matter is still not resolved as promised. A representative by the name of Simon Ramapuputla emailed me on the 18th confirming that this matter has been attended to. I have since requested that he provide me with official confirmation that this is indeed the case. It is 9 days later and I still have not received any word from him.
Why do I always have to follow up? Is this how an escalation is treated at Vodacom?
