Vodacom tolerates shady dealings

I found out last week friday that someone had **********ly taken out 2 cellphones from Vodacom using my Vodacom contract account. I went to a Vodacom store and informed them that I did not not authourise or consent to a contract upgrade or additional phones. I provided Vodacom with an affidavit to that effect. I was told by the rep to follow up in 7 days on the issue.

Today is 7th day. I called the Vodacom shop and I was informed that the head office has not even acknowledged my query. I have been on the phone with the Vodacom call centre being transferred from one agent to another for approximately an hour. No one could help me as all the agents I speak to do not know anything. I have also sent an email that was not adequately responded to...

Vodacom let someone take phones from their store using my account *****ently. This person's second request took 5 days to be accepted by Vodacom. However, they are very slow to acknowledge let alone resolve my problem.

I have always had an issue with Vodacom, primarily because the network is soooo expensive, there are fees you are not told about when you sign up, but I decided to stay with the network because the cancellation fee is not worth it.

However, I CANNOT accept such treatment. I want Vodacom to do the right thing here... they better not debit my account for these phones....
