Vodacom **** to me
Roughly around mid April an agent from Vodacom came to my premises offering wifi, which we took up and that is when my nightmare started. The agent informed my son and reassured me that will only be billed R349 for the first 3 months thereafter it will increase to R549, she also said that I will only be billed from the 7th June 2025. Lo and behold my son gets debited R649 today which is the 8th May 2025 after only actively using the wifi only from the 6th May according to the Vodacom call centre. I was also informed by the sales agent, installation and the router were free and there were no additional costs associated with this. However my problems began now I am being told I am being charged R199 for the said router and pro rata'd for usage from the 24th April up until the 30th April bearing in mind we were having connectivity issues and was only able to actively use it from the 6th May 2025. This was not budgeted for as well as he only receives a disability grant and this will affect his credit history going forward. I feel that Vodacom are a bunch of ****** who send field agents out to sell the public dreams and the after service and client care is a nightmare. his account number is I ***
She is also informed me it is a month to month contract but when I contacted the call centre they informed me it is 24 MONTH CONTRACT and I am liable to pay R14 082 but I was misinformed which is not fair to my son as the client. I have not received any contract from them and silly me never read the fine print before allowing my son to sign and mind you he is disabled.
Please help as he is a young man of 20 years old and I would not want his credit to be bad before he has even started his journey of life. My contact number is ***
