Vodacom **** to me

Early Feb, they called me out of the blue with a new special offer. Chatted with the guy about it even saying it sounds too good to be true and that it sounded like a **** caller. I was promised more data for less money per month as well as a free tablet, thus reducing my monthly invoice total by about R300. I received the free tablet as well as the data but now am paying R100 more than my original invoice amount?!?!?!?!

I called in today to query this and was told "it will be escalated". When asking for the voice recording of that phone conversation, "no we don't send it to customers, you must go to a store." Super inconvenience.

Not a happy customer.

And this isn't the first time this has happened to me and other people I know where Vodacom call them with a special to reduce their invoice but then they actually start paying more. Hidden wording in jargon on contracts that is not explained or pointed out to people. And when no actual signature is needed, or documentation even sent, how can this be disputed.

I understand they are doing their best to make things convenient for customers, but this is verging on despicable business practices in my opinion.

Okay. I'll be waiting on the edge of my seat.

But until then, I won't be paying my account. I will not pay more when when I was told it would be less. I will pay what is due when you can confirm things.
So you better not block my account until.
