Vodacom, This Is Absolutely Unacceptable!
Vodacom’s operational failures are directly affecting customers, and the lack of accountability is unacceptable.
My account was penalised because Vodacom failed to update my contract after I upgraded. The date they refer to as a “cancellation of my debit order” is actually the day they informed me that my contract had been extended. Despite this being entirely their error, Vodacom has shifted responsibility onto me, the customer. As a result, my fibre service has been suspended due to “non-payment”, even though I have always paid my account unless in rare moments I could not.
Vodacom is now demanding payment mid-month, with no recognition of their own administrative failures. This shows a systemic lack of proper processes, where the company protects itself at the expense of its customers.
Customer service has made matters worse. Nokuthula Khoza was dismissive and offered no resolution, while another staff member was unprofessional and obstructive. The team leader in Collections also provided no meaningful assistance.
This situation highlights Vodacom’s incompetence, refusal to take responsibility, and prioritisation of company convenience over loyal customers. Blaming customers for mistakes they did not make while refusing to assist shows a serious failure in service and governance.
Vodacom must fix these failures and take responsibility, especially for customers who have been loyal and consistent.
