Vodacom thinks we are stupid

I purchased a Vodacom Tablet as a gift 2 weeks ago. When my friend went to update the device as it requested - it crashed. I was advised to take it to the Vodacom repair centre in Canal Walk for fastest service. I handed it in Mon 04 and was assured that it would be swift and likely be replaced with a \new device\". All very efficient and very swift. I collect this morning, and upon taking the ziplock I asked if there was no box. The lady helping said no box, but it was a \"new device\". All staff using the word \"new device\". I got home and removed the tablet to find to my horror the screen was full of surface scratches and there was a scratch on the back too. I handed over a new tablet in pristine condition with the plastic still on the screen and I get this \"new device\" back. Not acceptable in any way at all. Vodacom - you are perfectly happy to lie and **** the customer ???? All at my time and expense. Clement, the technical manager found a more suitable \"new device\" with plastic covering the screen, but I find it totally unacceptable that we should suck up the lies. Not \"new devices\"-clearly refurbs. Do not tell the customer the device is new. Are we stupid ??? Fuming !!!"
