Vodacom *******

I received an sms last year saying I qualified for Covid relief. I did not answer or do anything as I thought it was a ****. Now I want to cancel my contract which should cancel at the end of September, I am told because I received the covid relief my contract has been extended to April 2023. Firstly R200 relief (R100 in September 2022 and R100 in October 2022) does not warrant an extension of my contract by 6 months at my current installment of R623.74 per month. I did not ask for the Covid Relief and was certainly not informed that my contract would be extended. I am happy to pay back the R200 covid relief as I never asked for it and actually didn’t notice it on my account. I want my contract to revert to what it should be without the Covid Relief. I have phoned 6 times to your call centre and each time l speak to someone and explain the issue, I am told they will come back to me, which never happens. I receive an sms notification that my query has been logged however 2 seconds late another sms tells me the query is closed. This kind of service is not acceptable and I would like this issue resolved – cancel the Covid relief, revert to my original contract and I am happy to pay back the R200. If this does not happen I will be going the legal route and the ombud and any media that I can go to.
