Vodacom. The Worst Service I have ever received.
If you are looking extremely poor client service support, then Vodacom is for you.
Before moving to a new location (that is Fibre ready according to Vodacom's website) from my parents household, I gave notice on the 25th of August for my Fibre to be moved on the 1st of October. They stated that they would contact me to finalize all the details.
Nothing materialised.
I made contact with them in the beginning of October to ask if they will be able to move my Fibre. They said that they will sort it out for me and later confirmed on an email that my Fibre reallocation is under way.
After emailing them multiple times throughout the month (I haven't received any response to this day), I finally gave them a call on the 30th of September to confirm if my Fibre will be moved the following day. They told me that it's Vumatels problem and I should contact them. I contacted Vumatel and they said that it is Vodacom's problem. So I phoned Vodacom again.
The lady I spoke to said that they will phone me back with the relocation information. I urged her to please phone me back, because Vodacom hasn't come back to me once since I started my contract with them (I always have to phone them in order to follow up on problems). Luckily, she did come back to me, but with some unfortunate news... My new location isn't Fibre ready.
So after they emailed me, stating that my relocation is underway, and not informing me about my area not being Fibre ready (which is in contrast to what is said on their website) I find out a day before my Fibre is supposed to move, that it won't be possible. We are thus sitting in the new house without any sort of Internet connection.
I thus cancelled my Fibre as a result. Vodacom thus said that I have to give one months notice and pay one last premium at the end of this month. I agreed to the terms. (Just some additional detail, my parents already signed with a new, cheaper ISP in order for them to have Fibre when I leave. Their Fibre, however, can only be installed when my Fibre has been moved or been cancelled. So giving a months notice wouldn't have disrupted them since they will still have Internet for the month. My parents need Internet for Zoom meetings and work).
But, out of the blue, my Fibre was cancelled with immediate effect (after pushing back the new ISP's installation by another month). For the last 36 hours my parents have been without Internet and Vodacom is useless as ever.
I phoned Vodacom again last night in order to get the Internet up and running again (because I can guarantee you that they will still make me pay the premium at the end of the month and my parents had a very important Zoom meeting today).
They said that they will mark it as a top priority and all of that nonsense, but still, nothing is happening from Vodacom's side and we are still without Internet.
Their client service is extremely poor. I will never sign with Internet from Vodacom again, and you shouldn't too.
