Vodacom - the non services provider
The only reason I give one star is because you cannot give zero or minus a cazalion stars.
I wanted to start my 1 year relationship with Vodacom and order a fibre connection last week. The previous owners already installed fibre, so I only need a connection in my name. I received a quote, I accepted, received a acceptance confirmation, its all good. Then hear nothing from Vodacom. I phoned ***, press option 1 "Sales". I explain the whole story up to receiving the acceptance email. The lady confirmed that the sales order is received by Vodacom but I should have pressed option 2 "Installations". So phoned *** again, press option 2 "Installations". I then explain my whole story, the person confirmed the sales order and her words: "the sales order is still under review by Vodacom, you should press option 1 "Sales". I told her but the Option 1 "Sales" person told me I need to speak to the Option 2 "Installations" person. But the Option 2 "Installations" person was very firm and said no I need to speak to Option 1 "Sales". So, I tried again, phoned ***, press Option 1 "Sales". Explain to the person everything again, and then she said: "Your account is with legal" you have to press Option 4 "Accounts". Now my first thoughts are, I dont have an account yet with Vodacom and it is already with legal, do they have a crystalball, maybe they saw in the future I did not pay my account in protess of bad service?? So, I press Option 4 "Accounts" and I explain the past 38 minutes, the lady checked something on her computer (or on her MTN phone) and said "I can see your order is pending, you have to press Option 1 "Sales". ‽?$%##%
So eventually someone emailed and said I will receive my router in a day or 2! Very excited that R.A.M couriers even sms me and told me delivery is on its way...then I noticed that the address on the sms is wrong, so I phoned R.A.M couriers and told them the address is wrong, their reply was, only Vodacom may change the address!!! To cut a long story short, eventually they delivered. The packet was a sim card only, again I emailed the contact at Vodacom and ask her what must I do with just a sim card (I wanted to give some ideas). She ask me if I did not received a ****le? I reply in the negative. And she then asked me if I received my router? Again I rep**** in the negative. Then, I kid you not, she emailed: "Support is ***, option 3"
I did not even rep**** to such a brainless answer.
The only fibre I have is Kelloggs All bran flakes, and I can most properly get better service by talking to the flakes.
