Vodacom, the ******ion fairy!

In December of 2018, I was unable to pay my Vodacom account. I phoned Vodacom and requested a payment arrangement. They denied my request and cut my cell phone. They then double debited my account, bringing my account up to date, but did not restore my services. After a long battle the services were restored on my cell phone, but not on either of my tablets or my Wi-Fi modem. From the time these services were suspended in December, they did not EVER work again. In March I phoned Vodacom and explained that my circumstances had changed and I could not keep the account. They suspended the services on my phone again, but I was allowed to use it on “pay as you go”. In July, Vodacom contacted me demanding R3500. I requested a copy of the statement. To date I have not received a statement reflecting R3500 or where this amount comes from. Each statement I receive reflects a R0 balance. On Wednesday, my cell phone was cut altogether- when others try to phone me, the message is that my number does not exist. Further to this, I received a message demanding R7000!!! You can imagine by surprise as I have had no service in over 7 months!!! Well Vodacom can sue me as I do not have R7000 for a service I have not received. It’s all good and well to give someone a 2 year contract, but circumstances and situations change. I can understand that I am responsible for the handset instalments, but Vodacom cut my services over 7 months ago on my phone and 11 months ago on my tablets/ Wi-Fi modem, so these services cannot be billed. I am also entitled to a copy of my statement, which I have never received. It’s ironic that all Vodacom’s calls are recorded, but when it comes to customer’s being in the right, these recordings don’t exist. Vodacom, you are an ********* corporation with zero customer care. You disgrace yourselves over and over again. Be careful thinking you’re the only service provider!
