VODACOM: the anti-service to working online

Since April 2020, I have had to phone Customer Care repeatedly to troubleshoot low data upload (<0.9 MBps) and download (<0.9 MBps) speeds, after which adequate performance is restored. However, I have had to do this every other week now. As a lecturer, I am unable to give classes to students online, or upload prerecorded lectures, and my 20+ GB of data I purchase to perform my work cannot be utilised within the 30-days expiry period. I have had my connection settings reset numerous times, had VPN's changed, and yet issues persist! How can anyone get work done using this anti-service provision, courtesy of Vodacom? You know what works, switching to the Telkom router we have every week now because Vodacom lets me down so frequently. You know what hasn't worked, phoning Customer Care, listening to a plethora of automated pre-recordings nobody asked for just to wait even longer to get to a hopefully human operator, and being cut off, or simply told "they'll look into it," - 5 months later... All this while having to get through all my work and missed deadlines. Now they tell me I should "...buy a new phone to see if the issues will fix themselves..." - seriously? Why don't I just change service providers instead, and why do I need to phone in every week now if I want a better signal just to get some work done?
