VODACOM - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

To start off with - I was in arrears of 4 months on my account as I lost my Job - I phoned Vodacom to ask for a settlement amount to cancel my contract and resume on pay as you go. An amount of R8205.16 was given to me - I then proceeded to Vodacom Chats in Zambesi to settle the account - I paid in R8300.00 - a receipt was given and I was advised to call Vodacom accounts department. ( ********** ) (this was done on 06.12.2018) When I called the lady advised that I should wait 24 hours and then call ( ********** ) to cancel the contract - I called cancellations( ********** )( 07.12.2018) Vuyisa advised me that my contract can only be cancelled in May 2019 which i argued and asked to speak to a manager - he refused to give me his surname as well as put me through to a manager as it is not part of his script. The nerve of this agent - and i want this to be verified by senior management - as all calls are recorded - venting my frustration and explaining my situation - he obviously removed his head set and let me talk to myself because it was time for him to go home @ 17:02. bearing in mind that he was the 3rd person i tried taking to since 16:00 Is this customer service????? is this how Vodacom staff members are taught to treat their customers? I expect a response and someone to assist me URGENTLY with this matter as I've never been treated this badly by any service provider. AND I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH VODACOM ANY LONGER. IT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT PEOPLE ALLOWED TO REPRESENT VODACOM DO NOT KNOW THEIR PROCESSES AND EACH DEPARTMENT HAS NO IDEA HOW TO HELP. IVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR WELL OVER 15 YEARS - IF THIS IS HOW LOYALTY IS TREATED I WOULD HATE TO SEE WHAT THEY DO WITH NEW BUSINESS...
