Vodacom terrible connection for months and no end in sight
It has been more than 4 months now that Vodacom does not work in certain areas of our neighbourhood. I switched to Vodacom as MTN proved not worthy of a subscription and thw Vodacom signal was brilliant for years. It has now slowed and got so bad that we have to move to certain corners of the house to make or take phone calls or use data. Vodacom is using the pitiful excuse of 'load shedding was causing the issues and once load shedding was no longer implemented Vodacom would strengthen the network'. When will that be? Eskom will forever load shed as they do not have a proper infrastructure anymore and do not do maintainance. This is becoming the same with Vodacom, they do not maintain our area anymore. 4 or 5 months ago Vodacom took on the venture of giving fibre as a network option in our neighbourhood, that too is nothing to write home about. It is too is weak and does not work properly at the best and worst of times. I almost took out a contract for Vodacom's fibre but was told to test it by a friend to find that the signal was so bad that you only picked up E. The worst is, it doesn't matter that the signal is bad, you still have to pay the full amount monthly. You pay the full amount and get only a minimal percentage of what you pay for. Unfortunately, whenever this lockdown is over I will go back to MTN, it was unfortunately bad but not as bad as Vodacom is now. I am terribly sorry that I had to write such a review but it seems that my as well as other's complaints as well as concerns have fallen to the wayside....
