Vodacom terminated my numbers
Phone numbers terminated! Without my knowledge and sadly linked to my banking apps and am ABROAD
Today,I learnt that my cell# was terminated, I cant activate roaming yet active on whatsapp.
All my apps disappeared,so had to reinstall , as for my banking, I need to roam in order to receive an activation code...I know... anyway I am told theres nothing Vodacom can do to reactivate my numbers.
How you you recycle numbers, when we actually RICA`d ? Without atleast an alert? I need my numbers back so that I can sort out my life and roam!!!
I am still waiting for response.... I cant access ot reinstall my app till today Thanks

01 Mar 2019, 09:02Dear Customer,
Thank you for the time and effort taken to voice your dissatisfaction with our office. It is with the cooperation and feedback from valued clients such as yourself that we are able to identify any areas of improvement within our organization.
Kindly note that when a prepaid SIM card is inactive [calls /SMS / Data connections] on the Vodacom network for a period of 120 days, the number gets deleted and then recycled. Connections made whilst roaming will not keep the number active, as you are roaming on a different network. As for RICA, this is a government initiative and is linked to the SIM card. This determines ownership of the SIM card and not the cellphone number.
For more information on the inactivity rule, please visit the link inserted below. Refer to point 10 [Suspension/Disconnection].
