Vodacom Telephonic Upgrade

I contacted Vodacom telephonically (29/06/2016) to cancel my current contract. The reason I opted to cancel was that I was getting the same deal with an alternate service provider at a cheaper rate.

Vodacom (consultant) offered me the following perks as a retention:

The package comes with 250MB pm, the consultant offered me an dditional 500MB of data at no addtional charge, taking my data allocation to 750MB of data pm.

The package also comes with 75min to any network the consultant offered me an additional 100 min pm (Vodacom to Vodacom).

Taking the perks into account I reaffirmed the agreement with the consultant and I decided against cancelling my contract.

After concluding my call with the consultant I was emailed a copy of the contract , the contract had a charge of 250MB of data pm at R119-00 and no indication of the 100min (Vodacom to Vodacom) or the free 500MB of data pm .

The additional charge of R119-00 increases my total contract fee and surpasses the total contract amount I intended paying per month and there was no such agreement of 250MB of data between myself and the consultant.

I contacted Vodacom on the day (29/06/2016) to resolve the dispute, no success. I again contacted them the next day (30/06/2016), I was informed that the matter would be investigted the call replayed , since the call was recorded. Once again no success.

I continued to pursue the matter, no resolution to date (29/06/2016 to 15/08/2016) except that my phone was delivered to me without resolving my monthly charge or the perks that I was offered.

I have been shunted around from one department to the other (Customer Care, Upgrades, Cancellations).

Each and every time I have been told the the matter is pending, I cannot be even furnished with a reference number. Its painful, every time I contact Vodacom (minimum two times a week) I have to expalin the issue and go through a list of questions.

Numerous phone calls and time lost and no resolution.

Its disgusting to promise your client a promise you cannot deliver.

This is South Africa leading service provider, six weeks have passed and I am told the matter is pending.
